At Ergon House Athens, we provide a range of curated services and experiences to enhance your stay and make it truly memorable.

Our in-room dining service offers a luxurious and personalized way to enjoy meals in the comfort of your own room, with a menu featuring Ergon classics and contemporary dishes crafted from fresh, local ingredients. For those who appreciate a well-stocked minibar, our rooms come equipped with a perfect mini bar that includes a selection of premium Greek wines, artisanal snacks, and beverages. We also offer amazing cooking classes where both residents and visitors can learn to prepare authentic dishes under the guidance of our expert chefs, using ingredients sourced from the food market on the ground floor. Last but not least our Shop & Cook service allows you to handpick ingredients from our marketplace and cook your own meals in our communal kitchens.

Every single service is designed to create a warm, ultra welcoming atmosphere that blends Greek heritage and food and make the co-exist under a common roof. A place to feel like home, to eat, to sleep & to repeat.

1. COOKING CLASSES TO SHARE SKILLS & PASSION

A fun, hands-on experience tailored for small groups visiting Athens or businesses looking to treat their employees to something exciting.

Food enthusiasts can discover the secrets behind Ergon-style dishes, learn the basics of Greek artisanal cooking and express their inner chef with our private cooking classes. For teams looking for a unique and exciting teambuilding activity, this is the perfect way to bond and create something amazing together. Guided by our chef, you’ll master mouth-watering dishes, explore local flavours and ingredients, and most importantly enjoy a fantastic meal with friends, when the class is over.

  • The Ergon House cooking lessons start with the most essential part: picking the products. Our chef will welcome you at the vibrant ground-floor Agora, in order to hand-pick the ingredients you will use for the cooking lesson. Together you will walk through every different section: fresh fruit & vegetables, meat & fish, fresh products and deli.  You will get to know essential information about local products and their importance to contemporary cuisine.

  • Following the tour of the Agora, you will head to the private kitchens on the 2nd or 4th floor of the hotel. Our experienced chefs will guide you through every step of the dishes’ preparation. Our workshops include food styling, so that at the end of each session, you will have created dishes that taste and look  professional.

    WHAT YOU WILL COOK

    Option 1: Manti stuffed with sausage ragout and mushroom fillings

    Manti is a traditional Greek pastry from the region of Pontos, very similar to the Italian Ravioli. You will learn how to prepare the dough mixture, use the pasta machine to roll it out and prepare two delicious fillings: a sausage ragout, and a delicious vegetarian filling with three kinds of mushrooms and cheese.

    Option 2: Peinirli with chicken, gruyere and truffle.

    Learn the secrets of making a puffy peinirli dough from start to finish, and prepare a delicious filling with chicken, gruyere, cream cheese and truffle oil. Discover the technique of gradual baking, and finish with setting up the dish with an egg and fresh truffle topping.

    Additionally, you may also prepare the following:

    Gruyere wrapped in kadaifi pastry

    Our all-time bestseller, served with a sweet and spicy sauce of orange blossom honey and smoked paprika.

  • Time to taste what you made!

    The table is at the heart of the home and our hospitality is what we want you to remember the most. Following the activity, you will enjoy a family style meal, including the dishes you prepared and a choice among our restaurant menu. Τhe chef will join your meal and share cooking tips and secrets of a life dedicated to making people around a table feel satisfied.

    Time to relax and talk about food and other important things in life, in the company of a glass of cool white Assyrtiko wine. Or two.

Cooking lessons are held on Fridays from 4 to 8pm. We accept bookings up to 4 days prior to the lesson date.

2. SHOP & COOK

On any given day, whatever your food mood, you can find exactly what you want at the market and have it prepared on the spot using our cooking spaces on the 2nd and 4th floor. Whip up your favourite recipe for yourself in one of the fully-equipped communal kitchen available on every floor, or turn the tables on your local friends by inviting them to a home-cooked meal served at the communal table that seats up to twelve guests.

And it goes without saying that you’ll have all of the pleasure of cooking up a storm and none of the punishment of washing up!

3. IN ROOM DINING SERVICE

& exceptional food amenities

Our House offers exceptional services to all room residents making their stay the most comfortable and cherished experience ever. From in room-dining service with Ergon signature dishes featured in a specially curated menu, to a mini bar with all the artisanal delicacies, to an amazing coffee machine that comes with micro-roasted coffee capsules or mountain tea capsules. Imagine being wrapped in your bathrobe, sitting on your comfy bed, holding a warm pasta dish and the washing it down with 2-3 good sips of a chilled rose wine. The dream, right?
