Set on Ermou Street, ERGON House Ermou is shaped by the architectural layers of Athens, blending neoclassical design with a vibrant, modern pace. A building with history embedded in its very walls. An establishment that feels as though it has stood here forever, allowing us to continue its long history and existence. The House carries the quiet charm of old Athenian homes featuring high ceilings, hand-finished details, and warm textures brought back with care, to bring out that distinct Athenian flair. Heritage here is reimagined. Timeless Athens meets modern comfort in a hub curated to eat, live, and belong.
At the heart of it all is Taverna Ermou on the ground floor. The tables are welcoming, and the food is honest, rooted in memory without shortcuts or pretence. The Taverna revives the old Athenian vibe, where people used to gather around tables in a little yard or a street, sharing wine and meze dishes.
Flowing smoothly from the Taverna, the cobblestone patio acts as its atmospheric extension, a welcoming space with a soul entirely of its own, hosting tables from day to night, reminiscent of the good old times. Discover the communal yard with the wings of the guest rooms unfolding gently around it.
ERGON House Ermou boasts 24 rooms at different levels above and around the courtyard. Welcoming and full of soul, each one carries its own narrative. With frescoes painted by old Athenian families, still breathing on the walls, preserved as quiet reminders of the lives once lived here. Each room peels back a different layer of the past: a detail in the plasterwork, a ceiling that remembers another era, a texture that speaks of craftsmanship long before it became rare. Rooms that speak.
And when the day has given you everything Athens has to offer, the Veranda on the top floor is where you end up. With drinks in hand, the city spread out below you, and the Acropolis lit up against the Athenian sky.
And finally, our boutique shop, the ERGON Originals store, which also hosts the House’s reception, features a carefully chosen selection of Greek products. Superior, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, artisanal food items, and kitchenware worth taking home for a little piece of Greece. Items with a story behind their label, all sourced and produced in different parts of the country by honest artisans.
