Amid London’s timeless streets, where every corner holds a new discovery

A short stroll along the Strand leads to King’s College London, home to the Centre for Hellenic Studies and its lively calendar of public talks on Byzantium and modern Greece. In Marylebone, the Hellenic Centre celebrates Greek and Cypriot culture through film, music and contemporary exhibitions.

Across town in Bayswater, St Sophia Cathedral stands as a quiet masterpiece of marble, icons, and Byzantine-inspired mosaics, consecrated in 1882 and serving as the cathedral of the Greek nation during the Second World War.

Moving through the city is effortless: Covent Garden Station is a three-minute walk away, offering direct connections to Heathrow Airport.

Wherever your days take you, London’s Greek stories are never far from ERGON House London.

WALK AROUND LONDON

Just a few minutes’ walk brings you to Trafalgar Square, where Nelson’s Column rises above the fountains and the National Gallery holds centuries of European art, including works by the Cretan-born master El Greco.

Head the other way to reach Seven Dials, where seven streets converge around a central sundial, leading into the vibrant, hidden courtyard of Neal’s Yard. Wander a little further into Soho for its creative energy, independent cafés, and historic record shops, looking out for Greek Street, named after London’s first Greek Orthodox community in the 17th century.

To the north lies Bloomsbury, home to the British Museum, where ancient Greek galleries trace thousands of years of history, from delicate Cycladic figurines to classical sculpture.
